I absolutely love this post. It left me smiling from ear to ear. What fun to bring out the child in you and just play with art. Unfortunately, too many adults do not summon their inner child the way you did. I really love the screening mask, absolutely beautiful. And it was observant of your husband to notice your history of spirals. And that left me wondering, can anyone also spiral upward on a more optimistic note?
Thank you for sharing your amazing art; I love seeing the spiral patterns on them all. And thanks for providing information on the spiral. I learned something new.
Keep on, keeping on, my artist friend. I am in awe of how many different supplies you use and your ability to create art with wild abandon.
Beth, I’m so glad you got inspired by my post. And it made you smile!! (We all need more smiles right now for sure!) I guess the child within me just has to run the show from time to time and my job is to step aside and let her, which can be hard. The screening mask is a very early piece and I’m so glad you like it!
I’m very fortunate, my husband is very observant and supportive of my art. I’m glad you learned more about spirals, they are an ancient symbol found in many places and cultures around the world.
Yes! I do believe that anyone can spiral upward on an optimistic note! And I hope we all find ways to spiral up, especially right now!
Made me smile, and my eyes get teary, and my heart pound with the synchronicity of your spirals being shown to you (and your Celtic self) by so many pieces you've made, the class bringing up the question to yourself, and of course, your husband who could see it along. Sending a big hug, Nancy (and my Celtic self)
I’m so glad my spirals made you smile and your heart lift. The synchronicity of it all was amazing. So many things in what we create we don’t see until another pair of eyes help us. Glad to meet another Celtic soul here to share it.

I agree, Susan. We really need a spiraling upward now! It's wonderful that your husband supports your art and is so observant!
I loved this essay! Letting that inner child out is a good thing!
